About
Hyannis Yacht Club is private club dedicated to the sport of yachting. We provide our members and their families the opportunity for seamanship and navigation education, exceptional sailing and swimming instruction, competitive racing opportunities, fun and engaging social entertainment, and excellent dining opportunities.
Membership
We welcome new members to our club. Active membership allows full access to the club and is a voting member. Associate membership allows dining at the Captains Table and limited inclusion in select social, racing and educational activities.
Yachting
The Hyannis Yacht Club is recognized for running a wide variety of sailing events including regattas, regional, national, and international sailing events. HYC hosts One Design club racing on Sunday and Thursday evenings, Ocean racing (Beer Can) in Nantucket Sound on Wednesdays, and several long-distance ocean races during the season.
Dining
In addition to a sensational sailing venue, the Club has a wonderful restaurant featuring seafood and steaks. Our main dining room and bar are open daily for lunch and dinner year-round. In season, members enjoy casual dining on our covered deck overlooking the bay. In addition to the full menu, the bar features light fare and is the hub of both social and recreational activities around the Club.
Racing
Please join us, if you are an experienced racer or a recreational sailor that would like to try something new. We promise that you will have fun! We also invite members and non-members to join our experienced Race Committee crew, where we need help with flags, signs, and mark boat operation. Our active RC group holds regular US Sailing sponsored training events.
Programs
The Hyannis Yacht Club Swim/Sail Program is open to children of members of the club, as well as children of non-members when sponsored by a club member. Children attend throughout the summer vacation and take part in countless group activities including organized games, swimming meets with other clubs, fun racing, regattas, and all kinds of supervised fun in and on the water.
