2025 CHIX Team Race Regatta

Opportunities for members of all ages and abilities to race! 

The Hyannis Yacht Club Team Racing Committee organizes team racing and match racing opportunities for members. The marquee team racing event of the year is the annual Chix Regatta, a team race event in J22s designed to get women of all ages and abilities on the water. The Chix event happens every August, with registration shared with all members. Girls as young as 8 and women over 80 have participated in years past.

Team racing is a great way to introduce new sailors to the sport. High school and college competitive sailing is heavily focused on team racing. The Club’s fleet of 6 J22s lend themselves perfectly to the traditional 3x3 team racing configuration. The committee encourages members to reach out with suggestions for team racing activities at HYC.
